in the sweet fragrance of his man, smiled against Gabe s skin, an
overwhelming feeling of contentedness and peace flowing over
him. He was so proud of how Gabe had handled the situation;
calm, cool, collected, no hint of the overwrought baby-daddy
Matteo feared he d be.
Gabe finally tore his gaze away from the twins and kissed
Matteo tenderly. Amazing. I couldn t ask for more beautiful
children or a more amazing partner. It just feels& perfect.
So with Megan Miranda six pounds, one ounce and oldest
by seven minutes and Dominik Matteo five pounds, nine
ounces, smaller but with a much bigger set of lungs tucked
snugly into their infant seats, the Torres-Ponterio family headed
off into the sunset in their four door, DVD-player-installed,
hybrid family mobile.
Half-way home, Matteo turned in his seat to face Gabe. Do
you know what day it is?
Wednesday? Gabe said.
It s Father s Day, sweetheart.
I thought Father s Day was in June?
Matteo adjusted the rearview mirror so it framed the twins
and the stunning red, orange, and yellow of the sunset now
behind them. Yeah, but every day s Father s Day now.

K-Lee Klein has lived in one part of Western Canada or
another for her entire life. She s a doting mother of three now-
grown kids and has had characters and plots running around her
head for as long as she can remember. Though still a little
disbelieving that she s earned the title of author, she hopes to
substitute her passion for writing beautiful, emotional men for
her previous jobs as a hockey manager/coach, school band
volunteer and overall chauffeur.
K-lee lives with an overly-patient husband who totally does
not get her thing for gay men, two spoiled but wonderful sons
(who don t get it either), two also spoiled but beautiful cats, many
phone calls with her daughter who has already left the nest, and
an abundance of fabulous gay men, large and small, bouncing
off the walls of her skull, competing for their turns to tell their
stories.
